Well, you know, Thanksgiving in Las Vegas ain’t like what we got back home, but it sure can be a good time if you’re lookin’ to get away from the kitchen. Now, lots of folks from all over head to Vegas for Thanksgiving. I reckon it’s ’cause it’s easy to get to and there’s a heap of things to do. Ain’t no need to worry about cookin’ or cleanin’ up, you just go out and have yourself a good meal, enjoy the sights, and maybe even hit the shops!
Now, if you’re thinkin’ about headin’ to Las Vegas for Thanksgiving dinner, you got plenty of choices. Lots of places do up some fancy meals for folks who want to eat out instead of cookin’ at home. One of the spots that’ll make your mouth water is the Aliante Casino. They got this Bistro 57 where they offer a three-course dinner with things like Italian salad. Don’t that sound nice? You just sit down, they bring it to you, and you don’t have to lift a finger except to eat!
And if you ask me, Thanksgiving dinner wouldn’t be right without turkey. That’s the main star, ain’t it? In Las Vegas, they know how to cook up that bird right. Whether you like it roasted, fried, or in a casserole, they got you covered. Along with the turkey, you’re bound to find mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, salad, and plenty of other sides. If you got a sweet tooth like me, there’s pumpkin pie for dessert. I always say, if you ain’t got pumpkin pie, you ain’t really had Thanksgiving.
Some folks might just take the easy way out and order up a pre-made meal from somewhere like Costco. Now, you wouldn’t think to go to Costco for Thanksgiving dinner, but they got a deal where you can get a whole meal for about $180. That’ll feed eight people and include a turkey breast, rolls, six sides, and two pies. All you gotta do is pop it in the oven, heat it up, and you’re ready to eat. Ain’t no mess, no fuss. More time to relax and spend with family, which is what the holiday’s really all about, right?
If you’re the type who likes to get out and about, Las Vegas has plenty of other distractions too. If you head down the Strip or go to one of the outlet malls nearby, you’ll find folks out there doin’ some serious shopping. Thanksgiving week is a big time for sales, and you know that Black Friday rush is comin’ up fast. Many shops stay open on Thanksgiving, and they start their deals early so you can grab a bargain or two.
Now, I know some of y’all might be wonderin’ if they got any traditional family-style places to eat, and you bet they do. If you want that homey feelin’, there’s places where you can get a big ol’ platter of turkey with all the fixin’s just like back home. You can even find places that let you pick and choose a la carte so you can get just what you want. Whether you’re lookin’ for turkey, ham, or somethin’ different, you’ll find it in Las Vegas.
For those who wanna stay in their hotel room or Airbnb, there’s also options to order a meal to be delivered right to your door. You ain’t gotta leave your comfy spot if you don’t want to. Just pick up the phone or go online, and you can have a full meal sent right to you. Then, all you need is a good TV show or movie, and you’re set.
So, when you’re thinkin’ about Las Vegas for Thanksgiving, you ain’t just thinkin’ about the food. There’s plenty of other things to do. You can see the sights, go see a show, or hit up the casinos if that’s your thing. But no matter what you end up doin’, you’re bound to find a good meal to fill you up. Whether it’s in a fancy restaurant, at a buffet, or from Costco, Las Vegas has got your Thanksgiving dinner covered.
And I’ll tell you, as much as I love home cookin’, there’s somethin’ special about eatin’ out for Thanksgiving. No cleanup, no stress, just enjoyin’ the good food and good company. If you ever get the chance, give it a try. Ain’t no better way to spend the holiday!
