Well, howdy there! Let me tell ya ’bout this Corky’s BBQ frozen dinner thing. I ain’t no fancy cook or nothin’, but I know good eatin’ when I taste it.
So, this fella, Jimmy Stovall, he’s the big cheese over at Corky’s BBQ. They say he’s a BBQ expert, and I reckon he must be, ’cause these frozen dinners ain’t half bad.
Now, I heard some folks call ’em TV dinners or ready-made meals. I just call ’em supper! You know, somethin’ quick and easy for when you’re too tired to stand over a hot stove all day. And let me tell ya, some days, this old body just ain’t up for all that cookin’.
I seen on the package they got baked beans with it. That’s good eatin’, right there. Beans and BBQ, that’s a match made in heaven, I tell ya. And they say it’s got that real Southern taste. Well, I’m from the South, and I can tell ya, it tastes pretty darn close to what I make on a good day, maybe even better sometimes, shhh don’t tell nobody!
- It’s quick.
- It’s easy.
- It’s tasty.
What more could a fella, or a gal, ask for? They say it comes from the “bar-b-q capital of the world.” I ain’t never been there, but if their BBQ is all like this, then it must be a mighty fine place.
I picked up this Corky’s BBQ Pork Dinner at the store the other day. Fry’s, I think it was. Just grabbed it outta the freezer case. It was in a box, all nice and neat. Said it was 13 ounces. That’s enough for a good meal, I reckon.
Now, I ain’t one for countin’ calories or nothin’ like that. But I did see on the box where it said somethin’ about 570 calories. And somethin’ about fat and carbs. I don’t pay much mind to that stuff. If it tastes good and fills my belly, that’s good enough for me.
You just heat it up, and there ya go! Supper’s ready. No fuss, no muss. And it tastes like you been slavin’ over a hot grill all day. That Jimmy, he sure knows his stuff, I tell ya. He’s got that “BBQ artistry” down pat, whatever that means. Sounds fancy, but the food ain’t. It’s just good, plain eatin’.
They say they use “time-honored methods” to make their BBQ. Well, I don’t know about all that fancy talk. All I know is, it tastes like good ol’ fashioned BBQ to me. The kind that makes your mouth water just thinkin’ about it.
And you know what else? You can get it delivered or you can pick it up yourself. Nowadays, they got all sorts of ways to get your groceries. I remember a time when you had to go to the store and get everything yourself. But times, they are a-changin’, ain’t they?
So, if you’re lookin’ for a quick and easy meal that tastes like real home-cookin’, you might want to give these Corky’s BBQ frozen dinners a try. I ain’t sayin’ they’re better than my cookin’, but they’re pretty darn close. And that’s sayin’ somethin’, let me tell ya.
They got ribs too! I haven’t try them yet, but if they’re anything like the pork dinner, then they must be mighty fine eatin’. Maybe I’ll pick some up next time I’m at the store. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it.
Anyways, that’s all I got to say about these Corky’s BBQ frozen dinners. They’re good eatin’, plain and simple. So go on and try ’em for yourself. You might just like ’em.
And don’t forget them beans! They’re important!
