Alright, let’s talk ’bout makin’ some carrot soup, the kind that fills ya belly good. Don’t need none of that fancy talk, just plain and simple, like how we do things back home.
First off, you gotta get yerself some carrots. Lots of ’em. Don’t be stingy now, carrots is the star of the show. Go for the bright orange ones, they taste the sweetest. And make sure they ain’t all soft and bendy, ya want ’em nice and firm.
Then, ya need somethin’ to make it soupy, right? I always use chicken broth, the kind ya get in them boxes at the store. But if you got some leftover chicken bones, boil ’em up with water and make yer own. Tastes way better, trust me on this. If you ain’t got no chicken broth, water will do in a pinch, just don’t tell nobody I said so.
- One big onion, don’t matter if it’s white or yellow, just chop it up good.
- A couple cloves of garlic, the more the merrier, I say. Garlic keeps the bad spirits away, ya know.
- A sprig or two of thyme, if you got it. If not, don’t sweat it, it’ll still be good.
Now, the cookin’ part. Get yerself a big pot, the biggest one ya got. Toss in them carrots, all chopped up mind you, and the onion and garlic. Pour in that chicken broth, enough to cover everything real good. If you’re using water, do the same.
Bring it all to a boil, then turn it down low and let it simmer. How long? Well, that depends. Till them carrots are nice and soft, I reckon. Poke ’em with a fork, if it goes in easy, they’re done. Don’t rush it, good things take time.
Once the carrots are soft, ya gotta mash it all up. I use a potato masher, works just fine. But if you got one of them fancy blenders, go ahead and use that. Just be careful, hot soup can burn ya somethin’ fierce.
Now, for the tastin’. Add a little salt and pepper, maybe a pinch of sugar if the carrots ain’t sweet enough. Taste it, and if it needs more of somethin’, add it. Cookin’ ain’t rocket science, ya just gotta use yer taste buds.
Some folks like to add cream or milk to their carrot soup, make it all rich and creamy. Me? I like it just the way it is, plain and simple. But you do you, honey. It’s your soup, after all. If you want to make it fancy, you can add a swirl of cream on top when you serve it.
And that’s it. Carrot soup, easy as pie. Perfect for a cold day, or when you’re feelin’ a little under the weather. Fills you up and warms you from the inside out. Now go on and make yerself a batch, you won’t regret it.
Oh, and one more thing. If you’re playin’ that game, Elder Scrolls, or whatever it’s called, you can find the recipe for this soup in barrels and crates. And you need carrots and somethin’ called Recipe Improvement to make it. Don’t ask me what that is, sounds like city folk nonsense to me.
Anyways, whether you’re playing a game or just hungry, this carrot soup will hit the spot. You can find the ingredients at the store, or grow them yourself if you’re feeling ambitious. And don’t forget to have a big piece of bread to go with it, perfect for soppin’ up all that good soup.
And if you’re wondering ’bout that Nord Crockpot thing, well, it’s just a fancy pot, I reckon. Don’t need nothin’ fancy to make good soup, just a good pot and some good ingredients. So there you have it, no more excuses, go make yourself some soup!
