Alright, let’s talk about them individually wrapped cookies, you know, the ones all wrapped up in their own little get-ups. I seen ’em everywhere, these days. Used to be, cookies was just in a jar, or maybe a tin, and you grabbed what you wanted. Now, they all fancy-like, wrapped up tight like little presents.
I tell ya, sometimes it makes a body wonder, why all the fuss? But then I reckon, maybe it’s good for keepin’ ’em fresh, you know? Specially if you got a big family, or you takin’ ’em somewhere. Don’t want them cookies gettin’ all stale and crumbly, now do ya?
I seen some ads, talkin’ ’bout buyin’ these wrapped-up cookies online. Says somethin’ ’bout fast and free shippin’ on eBay. Lord knows, I ain’t never bought nothin’ online, but I hear tell it’s the way things is goin’ these days. They got all sorts, too. Chocolate ones, them Bauducco Choco Biscuit Cookies, and some with stripes, Keebler Fudge Stripes they call ’em. Even got a whole mess of ’em in one pack, like that Chips Ahoy! variety pack. Enough to feed a whole church picnic, I swear.
Then there’s them fancy places, like that Levain Bakery in the big city, New York I think it is. Heard their cookies are somethin’ special, but I bet they cost a pretty penny. Probably wrapped up all fancy, too, each one in its own little baggie. Folks like to feel special, I guess, even when it comes to cookies.
I seen folks makin’ their own wrapped cookies, too. For parties, or weddin’s, or maybe just to give away. They got them cellophane bags and a little heat sealer thingamajig. Sounds complicated, but I reckon it ain’t too bad once you get the hang of it. Gotta make sure them cookies are good and dry first, though. Don’t want no soggy cookies, that’s for sure.
- First, you bake your cookies, any kind you like.
- Then, you let ’em cool down real good, so they ain’t all soft and mushy.
- Next, you stick each cookie in one of them see-through bags.
- And last, you use that heat sealer to close up the bag tight.
And if you ain’t into all that fuss, you can just buy ’em already wrapped. Target got ’em, and I bet just about any store does these days. Big ones, small ones, all different kinds. It’s a whole world of wrapped-up cookies out there, I tell ya.
But I still say, nothin’ beats a good homemade cookie, even if it ain’t wrapped up all fancy. Just a warm, fresh cookie, straight outta the oven. That’s the kinda cookie that makes a body happy. But I ain’t complainin’ about the wrapped ones neither. They’re mighty convenient, that’s for sure. Easy to grab and go, stick ‘em in a lunchbox, or take ‘em on a trip. And they stay fresh longer, that’s a fact. So, I guess there’s a place for both kinds in this world.
Now, if you’re lookin’ for these wrapped cookies, you can find ‘em in all sorts of places. Like I said, Target and eBay are good places to start. And if you want somethin’ real special, maybe try lookin’ for them Levain Bakery cookies, though you might have to pay a bit more. Or you can do what I do sometimes, and just get a box of them Chips Ahoy! ones. They ain’t fancy, but they taste good and they do the trick. And they come in that big old pack, so you got plenty to go around. Or if you feelin’ real ambitious, you can make your own and wrap ‘em up yourself. It ain’t as hard as it looks, and it’s a nice way to show somebody you care.
Anyways, that’s all I gotta say about individually wrapped cookies. They’re everywhere, they’re convenient, and they come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Whether you buy ‘em or make ‘em yourself, they’re a good way to enjoy a sweet treat without worryin’ about ‘em goin’ stale. And that’s a good thing in my book.
