Alright, y’all, let me tell ya ’bout this place called Galvez Seafood out in Prairieville. Now, I ain’t no fancy food critic or nothin’, just a regular person who likes good eatin’. And let me tell you, this place got some good eatin’.
First off, it’s right there on Highway 42. Easy to find, even for an old lady like me. The address is 40306 Highway 42, Prairieville, LA 70769, if you need to punch it in your fancy phone thingy.
They got all kinds of seafood, ya know? Shrimp, fish, all that good stuff. I heard tell they got some crispy Brussels sprouts too, but I ain’t never tried ’em. I’m more of a fried shrimp kinda gal. And their fried shrimp is mighty tasty, let me tell ya. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, just the way I like it.
Now, they ain’t open all the time, so you gotta pay attention. They closed on Mondays, which is a shame if you ask me, but everybody needs a day off, I guess. Tuesday through Saturday, they open up at 11 in the mornin’ and stay open till 9 at night. Plenty of time to get your fill. Sundays, they open a little earlier, 8 in the mornin’, and close up at 3 in the afternoon. So, you can go after church or somethin’.

They got good prices too, which is important these days. Everything’s so expensive, you know? But you can get a good meal at Galvez without breakin’ the bank. That’s what I like to see. Good food, good prices, that’s the ticket.
I hear some folks say it’s a good place to take the kids. They got plenty of room and the food ain’t too spicy or nothin’. So, if you got a bunch of little ones to feed, Galvez might be a good option for ya. They also got somethin’ they call “outdoor seating” so you can sit outside if the weather’s nice.
I ain’t never ordered food to go, but I hear you can. They got somethin’ called delivery, or you can just go pick it up yourself. Handy if you don’t feel like cookin’ but you still want a good meal.
Some folks on them internet things, like Tripadvisor, say it’s a good place. They talk about the good food and the good prices. And I gotta agree with ’em. It’s a good, solid place to get some seafood. Nothin’ fancy, just good eatin’. You can look up their menu online too if you want to see what they got before you go. It’s easy to find if you just search for “Galvez Seafood Prairieville Menu” or something like that.
So, if you find yourself out in Prairieville and you’re hungry for some seafood, go on and give Galvez a try. It ain’t gonna disappoint ya. Tell ’em that old lady sent ya, they might give you an extra shrimp or two! Just kiddin’, of course. But seriously, it’s good food. It’s a nice place to go for lunch, dinner, or even just dessert if you got a sweet tooth.
They call it The Galvez Seafood Company sometimes, or just Galvez Seafood. Don’t get confused, it’s the same place. Same good food, same good prices.
