Okay, so I wanted to share my little project of getting a beverage refrigerator. I finally got around to doing it, and let me tell you, it was quite the process.
First off, I had to figure out where this thing was going to go. I measured the space in my kitchen a bunch of times. I mean, I was down there with the tape measure like a madman, making sure I had enough room for the door to swing open. You need at least a 90-degree angle to get to your drinks comfortably, right? So, I measured the distance between where I wanted to put the fridge and the kitchen island. Gotta make sure that door can open all the way!
Next, I started looking at different models. I really wanted something energy-efficient because, you know, the bills. Plus, it had to have enough space for all my drinks. Adjustable shelves were a must, too. I like to rearrange things, and who knows what size bottles or cans I’ll have in the future. And obviously, it had to keep things cold. That’s the whole point! I also checked out warranties – the longer, the better, just in case something goes wrong.
I spent hours online reading reviews and comparing specs. It was overwhelming, to be honest. There are so many options out there! I narrowed it down to a few brands. A lot of folks were talking about the hOmeLabs Beverage Refrigerator, the one that can fit 120 cans. The model number was HME030065N, I think. Then there were some other fancy ones like the Lanbo Wine and Beverage Refrigerator and the Kalamera 24″ Beverage Refrigerator. Some people called them the best two zone beverage refrigerators or large capacity beverage coolers. Oh, and the Whynter BR was another one that kept popping up, because of the drink tags.
- hOmeLabs Beverage Refrigerator and Cooler – Fits 120 Cans. Model: HME030065N.
- Lanbo Wine and Beverage Refrigerator – Apparently, it’s the “Best Two Zone” one.
- Kalamera 24″ Beverage Refrigerator – Known for being “Large Capacity.”
- Whynter BR
After all that research, I finally pulled the trigger and ordered one. I won’t bore you with the waiting and the delivery, but let’s just say I was pretty excited when that big box finally showed up.
Setting It Up
Setting it up was pretty straightforward. It came with these little feet you had to screw on, which was a bit of a pain, but I managed. Then I plugged it in, set the temperature, and started loading it up with my favorite drinks.
It’s been a few weeks now, and I have to say, it’s been great. Having cold drinks readily available is such a luxury. No more running to the regular fridge every time I want something. It’s definitely one of those things that you don’t realize how much you need until you have it.
