Okay, so I’ve been dreaming of a little getaway, and I’ve had my eye on Cape Charles, Virginia. It just looks so charming and peaceful, you know? The kind of place where you can really unwind. So, I started looking into bed and breakfasts there – seemed like the perfect way to experience the town.

First, I just did a general search, nothing fancy. I wanted to get a feel for what was available. I saw a few names pop up repeatedly, so I made a note of those. I basically just used a search engine and typed in “bed and breakfast cape charles va”.
Digging a Little Deeper
Next, I started looking at individual websites for those B&Bs. I wanted to see pictures, you know, get a vibe for the place. Was it cozy? Historic? Right on the water?
- I looked at the room descriptions. Did they have a private bathroom? A nice view? A comfy bed sounded essential!
- I checked out the amenities. Free breakfast, of course, but what else? Wi-Fi was important, so I made sure that was available. Some places offered bikes, or beach chairs, little extras that could make the trip more fun.
- I’m a big fan of reading reviews, but I skipped that this time. I’m a little suspicious of reviews sometimes.
Narrowing it Down
After looking at a bunch of websites, I narrowed it down to a couple that really appealed to me. One had this amazing porch with rocking chairs, perfect for sipping coffee in the morning. Another was right near the beach, and I could practically smell the salty air from the pictures.
I looked for pictures of the breakfasts. I love a good breakfast, and you can judge a lot about a place by the food they serve. I saw some very delicious-looking options.
Making a Decision…Almost!
I’m still not 100% sure which one I’ll choose. I might need to do a little more digging, maybe look at some maps to see exactly where each place is located in relation to the shops and restaurants in town. But I’m definitely getting closer! I can almost taste that fresh, salty air and feel the relaxation already. Planning the trip is half the fun, right?
I will decide by next week.
