Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “flavored malt beverages” popping up everywhere, and I finally decided to give them a whirl. I mean, they look like fun, colorful drinks, and the flavors sound pretty interesting, right?

The Experiment Begins
First, I went to the store. You know, the usual place with the ridiculously long aisles of every drink imaginable. I spent a good 15 minutes just staring at the shelves. Seriously, the choices were overwhelming! Twisted Tea, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Smirnoff Ice…and so many others I’d never even heard of.
I grabbed a few different ones that caught my eye. I ended up with a mixed pack of something fruity, a couple of those hard seltzer things, and one that claimed to taste like a margarita. Gotta have variety, you know?
The Taste Test
Back home, I chilled them in the fridge for a bit. Couldn’t wait to crack them open! I started with the fruity mixed pack. Honestly, it tasted like…well, like super sweet soda with a tiny kick. Not bad, but definitely not something I’d crave.
- Fruity Mix: 6/10 – Too sweet, but refreshing.
- Hard Seltzer: 4/10 – Kind of bland, like fizzy water with a hint of fruit.
- Margarita-Flavored:7/10-It has a strong flavor and a bit of wine taste.
The hard seltzer was…meh. I guess I’m just not a seltzer person. It felt like I was drinking flavored air.
I give the Margarita-flavored one a 7 because I enjoy strong flavors, even though it’s a bit sweet and has a hint of wine.
The Verdict?
So, after my little experiment, I’ve decided that flavored malt beverages are…okay. They’re not my new favorite thing, but I can see the appeal. They’re easy to drink, come in fun flavors, and are perfect for a casual hangout or a day at the beach. Will I buy them again? Maybe. If I’m in the mood for something sweet and easy, sure. But I’m not going to ditch my usual go-to drinks anytime soon.
