Okay, so I had to find some obituaries from this place called the Beverage Family Funeral Home. It’s not something I do every day, you know? But someone asked me to, so I thought, “Alright, let’s see what this is all about.”
First, I did what anyone would do – I Googled it. Typed in “Beverage Family Funeral Home obituaries” and hit enter. A bunch of results popped up, and I clicked on a few. Most of them didn’t have exactly what I needed, but it gave me a general idea.
Then, I remembered that some local newspapers also post obituaries online. So, I tried finding the website of the local paper near where this funeral home is. It took a bit of digging, but I found it. Turns out, they did have some obituaries listed, but you had to pay to get full access. Seriously, who charges for that kind of stuff? It is hard to accept.
I browsed through a few different funeral home websites, including the Beverage Family Funeral Home’s official site, and some of them actually had a pretty good list of obituaries. You could search by name, date, stuff like that. It was a bit depressing, reading all these life summaries, but I kept at it.
After some more searching, I stumbled upon this site called “We Remember”. They had a section for Beverage Family Funeral Home, and it looked like they collected obituaries from there. I clicked on a few names, and they had a decent amount of info, plus ways to send flowers or leave condolences. Not too bad, actually.
I also called the Beverage Family Funeral Home directly. Their number is (815) 786-6715. A nice lady answered, and I asked about getting some obituary information. She was helpful and gave me a few more names to check out on their website.
So, after all that running around, I finally managed to find what I was looking for. It wasn’t the easiest thing, and it definitely made me think about how we deal with loss and remember the people who’ve passed away.
Here are some of the things I learned:
- Searching online is the first step, but be prepared to check multiple sources.
- Local newspapers might have obituaries, but they might also charge you to read them.
- Funeral home websites are a good resource, especially the bigger ones.
- Some websites specialize in collecting obituaries from different funeral homes.
- If you want to pay your respects, you can usually do it online or in person at the funeral home.
Paying Respects
But you know, at the end of the day, it’s not just about finding the information. It’s about remembering the person who died and showing respect to their family. When someone you know dies, it’s polite to pay your respects. Going through the line, paying your respects to the family. Like they say, “While no words can adequately express the depth of a loss”.
