Okay, so the other day, I was feeling a bit adventurous in the kitchen. I’d been seeing all these fancy “Aussie” themed snacks online, and I thought, “Why not give it a go?” I mean, how hard could it be to whip up some “aussie appetizers,” right?

First, I gathered my ingredients. I did a quick search online for some inspiration, and decided I am gonna make a simple version. I grabbed some:
- Sausage Rolls
- Mini Meat Pies
- Lamingtons
I Started with Baking sausage rolls. I grabbed some pre-made puff pastry (because, let’s be honest, who has time to make that from scratch?), laid it out, and spread with a thin layer of tomato * I take sausage meat, place in the middle line of pastry, and rolled * the edges with a bit of water, and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
Next up, baking mini meat pies! This was the most fun part. Used some shortcrust pastry for the base and blind-baked them for a * they were in the oven, I cooked up a simple filling with some ground beef, onions, and a bit of * the pastry was ready, I filled them up, added a pastry lid, and popped them back in the oven until they were golden brown and delicious. I added some cheese slices when it almost done.
Finally, making * is the easiest part, I bought some lamingtons cake from supermarket, just defrost them, and placed on the plate.
I arranged everything nicely on a platter, feeling pretty proud of my Aussie appetizer spread. Time for the taste test!
Everything turned out pretty good! All my family love those appetizers,I felt so successful with those simple “aussie appetizers”.And I decided to cook more often, maybe next time I will try to do some other country’s appetizers!
