Okay, so yesterday, I decided to hit up this seafood place in Round Rock I’d heard some buzz about. The place is called, well, let’s not get into names, I am just focusing on telling how I did it.

Getting Started
First, I looked up some reviews online. Gotta scope out the scene, you know? See what people are saying, what the good dishes are, what to maybe avoid. I found a few blog posts and some review sites.
The Plan
I decided to go for a late lunch, hoping to miss the dinner rush. My plan was simple:
- Drive to the place (it’s a bit of a haul from my usual spot).
- Find parking (fingers crossed, parking in Round Rock can be a nightmare).
- Check the wait time.
- Order a bunch of stuff and see what the hype is all about.
- Enjoy and take good pictures.
The Drive & Arrival
The drive was longer, it took me around 40 minutes to arrive, I spent nearly 20 mintues to find the parking lot, I was almost going to give up. Luckly, I got a space.
The Experience
I walked in, and thankfully, there was no wait! Score! I got seated right away at a nice little table by the window. The place had a cool, laid-back vibe, kinda nautical but not too cheesy.
I spent a good ten minutes just browsing the menu. So many choices! I ended up asking the server for recommendations, and they were super helpful. Finally, I decided on:
- Some grilled shrimp – because you gotta have shrimp, right?
- A fish taco, I want to eat less carb.
- Their special clam chowder.
- And a side of their seasoned fries.
The food arrived pretty quickly. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, nice and juicy. The Fish Taco was light and the clam chowder was creamy and packed with flavor. Even the fries were on point – crispy and well-seasoned.
I ate slowly, savoring every bite, and took some photos because, well, that’s what you do in 2024, right? I even managed to resist pulling out my phone too much (except for the pics, of course).

The Verdict
Honestly, it was a solid meal. I can definitely see myself going back, maybe for a dinner with friends next time. It’s worth checking out, you can consider it!
So, that was my little Round Rock seafood adventure. Hope that I can share more food-hunting adventures with you!
