Alright, so, you wanna know about that Jesus cookin’ breakfast on the shore, huh? Well, lemme tell ya what I heard. It’s a real old story, been passed down for ages. Don’t expect no fancy words from me, I just tell it like it is.
So, these fellas, they were fishermen, see? Workin’ hard all night, but caught nothin’. Nothin’ at all! Can you imagine? All that work, and your nets come up empty. Must’ve been mighty frustratin’. Tired and hungry, I reckon.
Then, as the sun was comin’ up, there He was. Jesus, standin’ on the shore. Now, these fellas, they didn’t recognize Him at first. It was still kinda dark, and they were probably squintin’ from the sun in their eyes. Jesus, He shouts out to them, asks if they caught anythin’. They yell back, “Nope! Not a darn thing!”
- He tells ’em to throw their nets on the other side of the boat.
- Now, I don’t know why, but they did it.
- Maybe they were just too tired to argue.
And wouldn’t ya know it, their nets got so full of fish, they could barely pull ’em in! That’s when one of them, the one they called John, he says, “It’s the Lord!” Peter, he hears that, and he jumps right into the water, swimmin’ to shore as fast as he can. The others, they followed in the boat, draggin’ that net full of fish.
When they got to shore, they saw somethin’ amazing. Jesus had a fire goin’, and He was cookin’ fish and bread. Breakfast! Can you believe it? After a whole night of nothin’, Jesus was there, waitin’ for ’em with a hot meal. That’s real kindness, that is.
Now, the story goes, nobody dared to ask Him who He was. They knew. They just knew it was the Lord. Jesus, He says to ’em, “Come and have breakfast.” Just like that. Simple and plain. He didn’t yell at ’em for not recognizin’ Him, or for not catchin’ any fish. He just fed ’em.
They all sat there together, eatin’ breakfast on the beach. Can you picture it? The sun comin’ up, the smell of the fire, and Jesus sharin’ a meal with His friends. It’s a powerful image, if you ask me. Makes you feel all warm inside.
This whole thing, it teaches ya somethin’. It teaches ya that even when things look bad, even when you feel like you’ve been workin’ for nothin’, Jesus is there. He’s waitin’ for ya, and He’s got somethin’ good for ya. Maybe not a net full of fish, but somethin’ better. Somethin’ that fills you up inside.
And it ain’t just about the food, ya know? It’s about sharin’ a meal together. It’s about bein’ with people you care about. It’s about fellowship. That’s somethin’ we don’t do enough of these days, if you ask me. We’re all too busy rushin’ around, we forget to just sit down and break bread together.
So, next time you’re feelin’ down, or like you’re not gettin’ anywhere, remember this story. Remember Jesus cookin’ breakfast on the shore. And remember that He’s always there for ya, ready to share a meal and offer you somethin’ good. Even if it’s just a simple word of encouragement.
This story is for everyone, old or young. It’s a story about hope, and about kindness, and about the importance of sharin’ what you have with others. It’s a good story to tell your kids, your grandkids, heck, even your neighbors. It’s a story that stays with ya.
And that’s pretty much all I know about Jesus cookin’ breakfast on the shore. It ain’t fancy, but it’s the truth, as far as I know it. Hope it made some sense to ya.
