Okay, here’s my blog post about finding a bed and breakfast in Glenwood Springs:
So, the wife and I wanted a little getaway, and Glenwood Springs sounded perfect. Hot springs, mountains… you know, the whole Colorado thing. First things first, we needed a place to stay. We’re not really “hotel people,” so I started looking into bed and breakfasts. Figured it’d be cozier, more personal.
I started by, of course, I opened up my laptop and typed in to the search bar, nothing special, just my own words.
Finding the Right Spot
I spent a good hour, maybe more, just reading through descriptions. Some places looked way too fancy (and expensive!). Others… well, let’s just say the pictures didn’t exactly scream “relaxing vacation.”
I started to narrow things down. I made a little list of what was important to us:
- Close to the hot springs. That was the whole point, right?
- A good breakfast. I mean, it’s in the name!
- Not crazy expensive. We wanted something nice, but we weren’t trying to break the bank.
- Good services.We also want enjoy the diffenert service.
Then I started looking at some of the places. I found the one that looked pretty * described itself as “charming” and “historic,” and the pictures showed a cozy-looking room with a fireplace. Plus, it mentioned a homemade breakfast every morning. I read some of those, and they were mostly positive. People raved about the breakfast and the friendly owners.
Making the Choice

It turned out even better than we expected. The room was lovely, the breakfast was amazing (seriously, the best pancakes I’ve ever had), and the owners were super helpful with recommending things to do around town. We spent our days soaking in the hot springs, hiking, and just generally enjoying the beautiful scenery.
It all comes down to figuring out what’s important to you. Then, do your homework, read, and don’t be afraid to reach out and ask questions. Happy travels!
