Okay, here’s my attempt at a blog post about making a green bean and sausage casserole, following your instructions and example:

So, the other day I was staring into my fridge, wondering what to whip up for dinner. I had some green beans that needed to be used, and a package of sausages sitting there. Lightbulb moment! Green bean and sausage casserole it is!
I started by preheating my oven. I think I set it to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. While that was heating up, I grabbed a big skillet and threw in the sausages. I just wanted to brown them a bit, you know, get some color on them. I didn’t cook them all the way through because they’d finish cooking in the oven.
Next up, the green beans.I just wash the green beans, then I snapped off the ends and chopped them into, like, one-inch pieces. Easy peasy.
Mixing it all
Once the sausages were browned, I took them out of the skillet and sliced them into rounds. Then, in the same skillet (less dishes, yay!), I tossed in the green beans with a little bit of butter. I just wanted to soften them up a little, so I cooked them for maybe 5 minutes, stirring them around.
Then came the fun part – putting it all together! I got out my trusty casserole dish and layered everything in. First, a layer of green beans, then some sausage, and I repeated that until it was all used * the last, I just added some bread crumbs on the top.
- Green bean.
- Sausage.
- Bread crumbs.
Finally, I popped the casserole dish into the preheated oven.I let that bake for a good 20 or 25 minutes, until it was all bubbly and the topping was nice and golden brown.
And that’s it! Seriously, so easy. The hardest part was probably waiting for it to cool down enough to eat without burning my mouth. It turned out pretty tasty, if I do say so myself. A good way to use up those green beans and a super satisfying meal.
