Okay, so today I’m gonna talk about my trip to Kenner Seafood Market Restaurant & Catering. I’d heard good things, and let me tell you, it lived up to the hype.
First off, I headed over to the place. It’s a pretty unassuming spot, but don’t let that fool you. Once I got inside, I was hit with the smell of fresh seafood – you know, the good kind that makes your mouth water. They’ve got everything laid out, and it all looked super fresh.
What I Saw and Tried
- I checked out the fish section first. They had all sorts, from the usual suspects to some I hadn’t even heard of.
- Then I moved on to the shellfish. Man, the oysters and clams looked plump and juicy.
- They also had a bunch of crawfish, which is a big deal around here. I grabbed a few pounds of those for later.
- Next, I noticed they weren’t just about seafood. They had poultry too, including some deep-fried turkey that smelled amazing. I made a mental note to try that next time.
- They also had some pasta and meat dishes, which is great if you’re with someone who’s not big on seafood.
- I peeked at the soups and salads – they looked pretty fresh and tasty. A good option if you want something lighter.
- And of course, being in this area, they had those Creole specialties. I spotted stuffed artichokes and jambalaya. I tried a bit of the jambalaya, and it was pretty darn good.
After browsing around, I decided to grab a few things to go. I ended up getting some of that fresh fish, a couple of those juicy-looking oysters, and of course, the crawfish. The folks behind the counter were super helpful, answering all my questions and even giving me some cooking tips.
Later that day, I cooked up the fish and crawfish. Let me tell you, it was some of the best seafood I’ve had in a while. Super fresh, cooked up real nice. That trip to Kenner Seafood was definitely worth it. I’ll be going back for sure. Maybe I’ll try that deep-fried turkey next time. Or some more of that jambalaya. We’ll see!
