Okay, folks, let me tell you about my little adventure today trying to get my CO2 tank refilled for my soda maker.

Finding a Place
First things first, I jumped on my computer and typed in “beverage CO2 tank refill near me”. I got a bunch of results, mostly welding supply stores and some homebrew shops. I wasn’t sure which one to pick, so I started calling around.
Making Some Calls
- The first place I called, some gruff-sounding guy answered. He said they did CO2 refills, but sounded annoyed I was even asking. Not a great vibe.
- The next place, a lady picked up. She was super nice, but said they only swapped tanks, they didn’t refill them on the spot. I wanted to keep my own tank, so that wasn’t going to work.
- Finally, I called this little homebrew shop a bit further away. The guy who answered was really helpful. He confirmed they refilled tanks while you wait, and even gave me a price, which was reasonable.
The Refill Process
So, I grabbed my empty tank and headed over to the homebrew shop. It was a cool little place, with all sorts of brewing equipment. I told the guy I was there for a CO2 refill, and he took my tank to the back.
He hooked it up to some machine, and I could hear it filling up. It only took a few minutes. He checked the weight to make sure it was full, and then I was good to go!
Success!
I paid for the refill, thanked the guy, and headed home. Now I can get back to making my fizzy drinks. It was a bit of a process, but hey, I learned something new, and I found a good place to get my CO2 refilled in the future. All in a day,s work!
