Today, I wanted to try something different, so I headed over to that new place in Fishkill, the one everyone’s been talking about. I’m talking about that soup and salad joint. I had heard good things, you know, about the variety and how fresh everything is. Figured it’d be a good way to change up my usual lunch routine.

So, I walked in there around noon, and the place was pretty packed, which is always a good sign, right? I noticed right away how clean and organized it was. The staff were buzzing around, keeping things tidy, and they greeted me with a smile. I grabbed a tray and started checking out the options. They had a bunch of different soups lined up, all steaming and smelling delicious.
- Tried their tomato basil first. Classic, you know? It was rich and creamy, just the right amount of tangy.
- Then I scooped some of that chicken noodle soup. It was hearty, filled with big chunks of chicken and veggies. Reminded me of homemade soup, honestly.
- Couldn’t resist sampling the lobster bisque. Oh boy, that was a treat. Creamy, flavorful, with generous pieces of lobster. I was impressed.
After the soups, I hit the salad bar. And let me tell you, this was not your average salad bar. I built this massive salad. It was like a salad tower.
- First, I piled on some mixed greens and spinach.
- Then I added some grilled chicken, I like some protein in my salad.
- I threw in some chickpeas and kidney beans, because why not, right?
- Topped it all off with some feta cheese, and drizzled some balsamic vinaigrette.
I paid for my meal, the price was pretty reasonable, especially for the quality and quantity. I found a cozy little table by the window and dug in. The salad was crisp and fresh, every bite was a burst of flavor. The soups were the perfect comfort food. I was basically in foodie heaven.
By the time I finished, I was stuffed, in a good way. I left the place feeling satisfied and happy. That was a great choice. I’ll definitely be going back there. If you’re ever in Fishkill, and you’re looking for a solid meal, you gotta check this place out. You won’t regret it. Seriously, it’s a winner.
