Okay, so today I’m gonna share my little adventure with McDonald’s desserts. I was craving something sweet, but didn’t want the usual ice cream or McFlurry. So, I decided to experiment and see what I could come up with.
First, I actually went to McDonald’s. I know, groundbreaking. I grabbed a plain sundae, one of their apple pies (still hot!), and a pack of chocolate chip cookies. Figured I’d have a good base to work with.
Then, the fun began. I smashed up the apple pie a bit in its container – not too much, just enough to break it up. I took the sundae and started mixing it in with the warm apple pie pieces. The warm pie started melting the ice cream a bit, which was exactly what I wanted.
Next, I crumbled a couple of the chocolate chip cookies on top of the apple pie and ice cream mixture. I didn’t want to pulverize them, just break them into bite-sized pieces. Gave it a nice little crunch factor.
After that, I decided it needed a little something extra. I had some caramel syrup at home, so I drizzled a generous amount over the whole thing. Seriously, don’t be shy with the caramel.
I mixed it all up again, just a little bit, so everything was combined. And there it was: my McDo dessert creation! It was warm, cold, crunchy, and gooey all at the same time. Sweet, but with a little bit of tartness from the apple pie.
It wasn’t pretty, I’ll admit. Looked like a bit of a mess. But honestly, it tasted amazing. It was way better than I expected! I basically inhaled the entire thing in about five minutes.
Here’s the breakdown of what I learned:
- Don’t be afraid to mix and match. Seriously, you might stumble upon something great.
- Warm and cold is a winning combo. The contrast in temperature makes it more interesting.
- Crunchy is key. The cookies added a much-needed texture.
- Caramel makes everything better. That’s just a fact.
I’m definitely going to try this again. Maybe next time I’ll add some crushed pretzels or a different kind of cookie. The possibilities are endless! Let me know if you try something similar. I’d love to hear what crazy combinations you come up with!
