Alright, let’s talk about this Kyoei Seafood Inc. thing, whatever it is. Sounds fancy, but I’ll tell ya, it’s just fish, ya know? Folks gotta eat, and some folks like that fishy stuff. So, this company, they sell it.
Now, they say it’s a “California Stock Corporation.” Don’t ask me what that means, sounds like a whole lotta paperwork to me. But what I get is, they’re in California. That’s a big place, lots of folks, so I guess plenty of people wanna buy their fish.
They started up a while back, around 2017, they say. Seven years, that’s a good chunk of time. Means they must be doin’ somethin’ right, or they wouldn’t still be around. You know how these businesses go, here today, gone tomorrow. But these Kyoei folks, they’re stickin’ around.
- They got themselves an address, or a few of ’em, seems like. One’s on some kinda “Long Beach Boulevard,” another on “Mateo Street,” and another on “Corona Avenue.” Sounds like they got a whole bunch of places. Maybe one’s for catchin’ the fish, one’s for cleanin’ it, and one’s for sellin’ it. That’s how I figure it, anyway.
- Heard tell they got somethin’ to do with “4465 Sheila St, Commerce, CA”. Commerce, huh? Sounds like they’re movin’ a lot of fish. That Sheila Street place, they say it’s about “Meat and Fish Markets,” so I guess that’s where you go to buy it.
- And there’s somethin’ about “Business Tax Registration Certificate (BTRC)” with Los Angeles. Taxes, always taxes. Can’t get away from ‘em, not even if you’re sellin’ fish. They probably gotta pay the government a little bit for every fish they sell, that’s my guess.
They got a number too, a “company number” they call it. 4014666, that’s what they say. Don’t mean nothin’ to me, but I guess it’s important for them official folks. You know, the ones with the suits and ties. They like their numbers and papers.
So, what kind of fish do they sell? Well, they call it “seafood,” which I reckon means anything that comes outta the water. Could be fish, could be shrimp, could be them crab things. I ain’t picky, long as it tastes alright. But it has to be fresh, ya know? Nobody wants no smelly old fish.
Now, who owns this Kyoei Seafood? That’s a good question. They call ’em the “owner,” but they don’t say no name. Maybe they’re shy, or maybe they just don’t want folks botherin’ them. Probably a busy person, what with all that fish to sell. I bet they got a big family to feed too, all them mouths need stuffin’ with fish, I reckon.
This company, they seem to be movin’ around a bit too. Long Beach, Los Angeles, Vernon, Commerce… they’re all over the place. Maybe they’re lookin’ for the best place to catch them fish, or maybe they’re just lookin’ for a cheaper rent. Rent’s always goin’ up, ya know, even for fish sellers.
Anyways, Kyoei Seafood, they’re sellin’ fish, and that’s about it. Folks need to eat, and they provide the food. Simple as that. Nothin’ fancy, just good ol’ fish. You go down to their shop, you give ‘em some money, and they give you some fish. That’s how it works, and that’s how it’s always been, long as I can remember.
I heard someone sayin’ somethin’ about “Articles of Incorporation”. Lordy, sounds complicated. I bet it’s just a fancy way of sayin’ they filled out some papers to start their business. You gotta do that these days, they say. Can’t just start sellin’ fish outta the back of your truck no more, not like the old days.
So, if you like fish, maybe you go check out Kyoei Seafood. I ain’t tellin’ you what to do, but they seem to be doin’ alright for themselves. And like I said, folks gotta eat. And sometimes, you just want a good piece of fish, ain’t that right?
