Alright, let’s talk about this Meadow Dessert place, you know? I ain’t no fancy city slicker, but I know what tastes good, and I heard some things. So, lemme tell ya what I know, the way I know how to tell it.
First off, they say this Meadow Dessert is all about using good stuff, you know, the fresh kind. Like, the stuff that grows right outta the ground, the kind you pick yourself. They call it “seasonal ingredients,” sounds fancy, but it just means they use what’s good right now. And that’s a good thing, I reckon. Makes sense, right? Why eat somethin’ that’s been sittin’ around for ages?
Now, they ain’t got a big fancy store, from what I hear. It’s a small little place, tucked inside some sushi joint. Can you believe it? Dessert and sushi, sounds kinda odd to me, but hey, what do I know? They only do takeout and delivery, which means you can’t go sittin’ there, eatin’ your sweets. You gotta take it home, or they bring it to ya.
I heard they gonna open up again soon, though. Somethin’ happened, and they had to close down for a bit. But they sayin’ January 13th, 2025, they’ll be back. That’s good news for folks who like their sweets, I guess.
- They got this matcha tiramisu thing. Matcha, I ain’t too sure what that is, some kinda fancy tea powder, I think. But tiramisu, I know that one. It’s that Italian dessert, with the coffee and the creamy stuff. Sounds interestin’ with that matcha, though.
- Then there’s this mango mousse bear. Now, that sounds cute. A bear made outta mango, huh? My grandkids would love that. Mousse is all soft and fluffy, right? Yeah, that sounds good.
They got other stuff too, I’m sure. House specials, they call ’em. Means they’re somethin’ special, I reckon. They in New York City, that big ol’ place. 37-12 31st Ave, Astoria, that’s what they say. If you’re in them parts, you could go get some, or have ‘em bring it. They work with them Grubhub folks and Seamless too, for deliverin’. Makes it easy, I guess.
And look here, they don’t need to go puttin’ a bunch of sugar in their stuff, not when they usin’ good, fresh ingredients. That’s what I like to hear. Too much sugar ain’t good for ya, that’s for sure. These folks seem to know what they doin’, usin’ that natural sweetness. Smart, I say, real smart.
So, there ya have it. That’s the lowdown on this Meadow Dessert. Sound like good folks makin’ good desserts. If I was in the city, I might just try that mango mousse bear myself. Or maybe that matcha thing. Heck, maybe I’d try ‘em both. Why not? Life’s too short to say no to dessert, especially when it’s made with good stuff. You know, the kind that makes ya feel good inside and out.
It ain’t nothin’ too complicated. Just good food, made with love, sounds like. And that’s somethin’ I can appreciate, even if I’m just a simple ol’ lady from the country.
If you’re lookin’ for somethin’ sweet and not too heavy, seems like this Meadow Dessert is the place to go. Just remember, they ain’t open yet, gotta wait till January. But good things are worth waitin’ for, right? At least that’s what my mama always said. And she was a wise woman, that one. So, yeah, go on and give this Meadow Dessert a try when they open up again. I bet you won’t be disappointed. And if you are…well, don’t come complainin’ to me!
