Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Nice Day Chinese Seafood Restaurant. It ain’t nothin’ fancy, mind you, but if you’re lookin’ for some good eatin’, this is the place to be.
I ain’t one for them highfalutin places with all the frills and whatnots. Give me good food, that’s what I say. And this place, this Nice Day place, they got good food. Real good.
They got all sorts of stuff on the menu, see. Lots of seafood, like the name says. But they got other things too. Chicken, and them… uh… whatchamacallits… dim sums! Yeah, those little dumpling things. They’re good eatin’.
- Half moon – These are like little half-circle dumplings. Filled with somethin’ tasty, I tell ya.
- Har gau – Shrimp dumplings, they call ’em. See-through skin, you can see the shrimp inside. Real purty.
- Seaweed wrap – Now, I ain’t usually one for seaweed, but these things are somethin’ else. Salty and good.
- Chinese broccoli w/oyster sauce – Greens! Gotta eat your greens, they say. And this broccoli, with that oyster sauce, it’s right tasty.
- Tarro gok – These are made with taro, some kind of root thing. They’re kinda sweet and crispy. Good for a little somethin’ different.
- Chicken feet – Now, I know what you’re thinkin’. Chicken feet? But don’t knock it ’til you try it. They got a good flavor, kinda chewy. Some folks like ’em, some folks don’t. I say give it a whirl.
- Custard cups – Sweet little things, for after you’ve had your fill of the savory stuff. Nice and creamy.
And the best part? It ain’t gonna break the bank. You can get a good meal here without spendin’ a whole lot of money. That’s important, you know? Gotta watch them pennies these days.
Now, I went there the other day, and let me tell you, it was a nice day indeed. The food came out quick, and it was hot and fresh. Nothin’ worse than cold food, I tell ya. But this stuff, it was steamin’ hot. Just the way I like it.
They got this… Cantonese food, they call it. And dim sum. And of course, all that seafood. I ain’t sure what all that means, but I know it’s good. Real good.
And the folks there, they’re real nice too. Always smilin’ and helpful. They bring you your food and make sure you got everything you need. That’s important, you know? Good food and good service, that’s what makes a place worth goin’ back to.
They’re open pretty much all day, from 8 in the mornin’ ’til 8 at night. So you can go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Whenever you get a hankerin’ for some good Chinese food, this is the place to go.
They’re located on Liliha Street, in Honolulu. I ain’t sure exactly where that is, but my grandson, he drove me there. He knows all them streets and such. Smart boy, he is.
They even do delivery and takeout, so if you don’t feel like goin’ out, they can bring the food to you. Or you can just pick it up yourself. Handy, ain’t it?
And if you got a big party or somethin’, they can do caterin’ too. So if you’re havin’ a get-together and don’t feel like cookin’, you can just let them handle it. Easy peasy.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a good place to eat, some good Chinese food, without all the fuss and bother of them fancy restaurants, I reckon you should try this Nice Day Chinese Seafood Restaurant. You won’t be disappointed. It’s good food, plain and simple. And that’s all that matters, right?
It’s a good spot for the whole family too. Kids like it, grown-ups like it… even old folks like me like it. So go on, give it a try. You might just find your new favorite place to eat. And remember, it’s on Liliha Street, in Honolulu. Can’t miss it.
Oh, and one more thing. They’re good for kids, take reservations if you want, and they’re easy to get to. You can find all that stuff on them internet thingamajigs…Tripadvisor or Yelp, I think my grandson calls ‘em. But take it from me, it’s good eatin’. That’s all you need to know.
