This here recipe, it’s for them chocolate chip cookies, but we ain’t usin’ no brown sugar. Just regular stuff you got layin’ around, I reckon. It ain’t fancy, but it sure does the trick when you got a hankerin’ for somethin’ sweet. And you know what? These cookies, they gonna be good, even without that fancy brown sugar.
Now, I ain’t no fancy baker with them special tools, but I make do. These cookies, they’re easy as pie, maybe even easier. You just gotta follow along, and you’ll have a whole mess of cookies in no time. They be good for a snack, or maybe somethin’ to dip in your coffee.
First thing’s first, you gotta get your stuff together. Here’s what you need:
- Butter, gotta be soft, not melted. Leave it out for a bit.
- Plain ol’ white sugar. That’s the ticket.
- Eggs, couple of them.
- Flour, just regular all-purpose is fine.
- Vanilla, just a splash. It makes ’em smell good.
- Chocolate chips. Lots of ’em. Can’t have chocolate chip cookies without the chips!
- A pinch of salt. Just a little bit, makes the sweet stand out.
- Baking soda. This here’s important, makes ’em rise up nice.
Now that we’ve got all our stuff, let’s get to bakin’. First, you take that softened butter and the white sugar and mix ’em up real good. You can use a fancy mixer if you got one, but I just use a big ol’ spoon. Cream it all together until its fluffy like, then mix in the vanilla.
Next, you crack them eggs in there, one at a time, and stir ’em up good. Don’t be shy with the stirrin’, gotta get it all mixed up proper. After that, you gonna add your dry ingredients in a separate bowl. That’s the flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix them up good, and then stir the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients. But you want to do it little by little. Then, stir it all up ’til it’s all combined. Don’t overmix, now. Just enough so you don’t see no more flour.
Then comes the best part, them chocolate chips! Dump ’em in there and stir ’em around. I like lots of chocolate, so I put in a whole bunch. Now your cookie dough is all ready.
Now, you gotta get your oven goin’. Heat it up to 375. While it’s heatin’ up, you can start puttin’ the dough on a baking sheet. I just use a spoon and plop ’em on there. You wanna make sure your cookie sheet ain’t crowded, them cookies need some room to spread out.
Once the oven’s hot, pop them cookies in there. They gotta bake for about 10 minutes, maybe a little more, maybe a little less. Just keep an eye on ’em. You want ’em to be golden brown around the edges.
When they’re done, take ’em out and let ’em cool on the baking sheet for a bit. Then you can move ’em to a wire rack if you got one, to cool all the way. Or, you can just eat ’em right off the pan. I ain’t gonna judge. I always eat some while they warm. They good with milk, good by themselves, however you want to enjoy them.
Some folks, they like to use other things instead of brown sugar. I hear tell of using honey, or that fancy maple syrup. You can use them, if you want. Some people even use coconut sugar, they say it’s good. I don’t know about all that. White sugar, it’s easy and it works. If you ain’t got brown sugar, don’t fret. These chocolate chip cookies without brown sugar, they’ll be just fine. You can also use cane sugar, that would work too. But regular white sugar, that’s the best substitute if you want them cookies now.
This chocolate chip cookie recipe no brown sugar is so simple, anyone can do it. And these cookies, they turn out just fine without that other sugar. They might be a little crispier, but they still good. They be a little flatter, maybe, but they still taste like chocolate chip cookies. And that’s all that matters, right? A good cookie is a good cookie, no matter what.
So there you have it, my recipe for chocolate chip cookies no brown sugar. It’s a good one, I think. Easy to make, and even easier to eat! I hope you enjoy these cookies as much as I do. They ain’t fancy, but they sure are tasty.
