Alright, listen up, y’all. I’m gonna tell you how to make that shrimp thingy, like the one they got at that Red Lobster place. You know, the one with the butter and garlic and all that good stuff? Yeah, that’s the one.
First off, you gotta get some shrimp. Big ones, if you can. Don’t go gettin’ them itty bitty things. They gotta be big enough to bite into. And make sure they’re peeled, too. Nobody wants to be pickin’ shells out their teeth while they’re eatin’.
- Get yourself some butter. Lots of it. Don’t skimp on the butter, now. That’s what makes it good. Melt that butter in a pan, but don’t burn it. Keep it on low, you hear?
- Next, you gotta chop up some garlic. Lots of garlic, too. Don’t be shy with the garlic. It’s good for you, or so they say. Chop it up real fine, like little bits, so it melts right into the butter.
- Now, throw that garlic in the butter and let it cook for a bit. Just until it starts to smell good, you know? Not burnt, just nice and golden.
Then, you gotta add some of that white wine stuff. I don’t know why, but they always put wine in it. Just a splash, though. Don’t go pourin’ the whole bottle in there. And let it cook for a minute or two, so the alcohol burns off.
Now, toss in them shrimp. Make sure they’re all coated in that buttery garlic sauce. And cook ’em till they turn pink. Don’t overcook ’em, though. They’ll get all rubbery. Just until they’re pink and cooked through.
And for a little somethin’ somethin’, squeeze in some lemon juice. Just a little bit, mind you. It gives it a nice tang. And sprinkle on some of that Italian seasonin’ stuff. You know, the stuff in the little jars. And don’t forget the cheese. That Parmesan cheese, the grated kind. Sprinkle that all over the top.
Now, some folks say you gotta use that scampi stuff, those little lobster things. But I say shrimp works just fine. And it’s cheaper, too. Who wants to spend all that money on them fancy lobsters? Not me, that’s for sure.
And if you don’t have wine, you can use a little bit of vinegar. Just a splash, though. You don’t want it too sour. Or just use lemon juice. That works too.
So there you have it. That’s how you make that shrimp thingy, like the one at Red Lobster. It’s easy, ain’t it? And it’s good, too. My grandkids love it. They always ask me to make it for ’em. So go on, give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.
