Today, I tried something new in the kitchen. I got these thin bone-in pork chops and decided to cook them in my air fryer. I’ve heard a lot about air fryers making things crispy, so I was curious to see if it was true. I started by taking the pork chops out of the fridge.

I laid them out on the counter and patted them dry with some paper towels. I figured this might help them get crispier. Then I seasoned them. I just used some salt, pepper, and a bit of garlic powder. Nothing fancy, just keeping it simple to see how they turned out.
Next, I preheated the air fryer. I set it to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, like a lot of recipes suggest. While it was heating up, I sprayed a little bit of oil on the pork chops. I didn’t want them to stick, and I thought it might help with the crispiness too.

Steps I followed:
- Take pork chops out and pat dry.
- Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder.
- Preheat air fryer to 400F.
- Spray pork chops with oil.
Once the air fryer was ready, I placed the pork chops in the basket. I made sure they weren’t overlapping. I cooked them for about 6 minutes, then I flipped them over. I cooked them for another 5-6 minutes on the other side. I was aiming for that nice golden-brown color.
When they looked ready, I used a meat thermometer to check if they were done. I was looking for an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Safety first, right? They reached that, so I took them out and let them rest for a few minutes. I heard that lets the juices redistribute, making them more tender.
Finally, I gave them a try. They were surprisingly juicy and had a really nice crispy edge. I guess those air fryers really do work! It was a pretty easy and quick way to cook pork chops, and they tasted great. I’ll probably do this again, maybe experiment with different seasonings next time.
All in all, it was a successful experiment. Cooking thin bone-in pork chops in the air fryer turned out to be a good move. Easy, quick, and tasty – can’t complain about that!
