So, the other day I stumbled upon these Velveeta skillet dinners. I’d seen the commercials, you know, the one with the blacksmith, and thought, “Why not give it a shot?” I mean, it’s Velveeta, right? The same guys who made the cheese we all grew up with. I figured it had to be at least decent.
I started with the Chili Cheese Mac Dinner Kit. It was a 11.3 oz box, looked pretty straightforward. I picked it up from Walmart, and I was surprised to see so many reviews on their site. People were really talking about these things, so I got my hopes up a bit.
I got home, and cooked it up. It was super easy, just following the instructions on the box. The whole process was quick, perfect for a weeknight when you don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen. It smelled pretty good while it was cooking, getting my whole family excited.
We all dug in, and it was a hit! Seriously, everyone loved it. It was cheesy, flavorful, and just comforting. I was like, “Okay, Velveeta, you got me.”
Next, I tried the Chicken Alfredo One Pan Dinner Kit. This one was 12.5 oz, and again, the reviews were glowing. I saw one with 80 reviews, most of them were positive, and I saw the people rating it 5 stars, so I was pretty pumped to try it. I cooked this one up, and it was even easier than the first one. One pan, less mess, I was all about that.
This one was also delicious. Creamy, cheesy, and the chicken was actually pretty good for a boxed meal. My family devoured it, and I was already planning to buy more.
Then, I moved on to the Chicken Pasta Dinner Kit with Broccoli & Orzo. This was a 13.6 oz box. I saw a bunch of reviews on this one too, something like 228 reviews, with 140 people giving it 5 stars. I cooked it up, and it was another winner. The broccoli and orzo were a nice touch, made it feel a bit healthier, haha.
Lastly, I tried the Philly Cheesesteak Style One Pan Dinner Kit, which was 12.2 oz. This one had the most reviews, 297 of them, and people were saying it was perfect for something quick and easy. I cooked this one up, and yeah, it was good. It really did taste like a Philly cheesesteak, but in pasta form.
- I started with the Chili Cheese Mac.
- Then moved to Chicken Alfredo.
- Next up was Chicken Pasta with Broccoli & Orzo.
- Finally, gave the Philly Cheesesteak Style a go.
Honestly, I was impressed. These Velveeta skillet dinners are legit. They’re easy to make, taste great, and they’re perfect for those nights when you just want something quick and satisfying. I guess Kraft really knows what they’re doing, taking over Velveeta back in 1927 and turning it into this. I’m definitely keeping these in my regular dinner rotation. It’s like they took a classic and made it even better. I’m a fan, for sure.
